Hi Alain, Glen from Wash. DC, I saw you just this past weekend, and enjoyed your outdoor performance on Saturday.

For me a good lindy hop song gives me energy while on the floor. I don't know if being able to extract energy from a song is related to its rhythm content, but I listed my 50 favorites recently (link below)--it might give an idea of the type of music that does the best job in powering me up.

I completely agree; to have a good Lindy Hop dance, the music has to really make you feel the steps. The most irritating thing at any dance is to dance Lindy Hop to a song that just doesn't lend itself to the steps, especially if it is distinctly a different dance (such as people i've seen dancing Lindy to a Cha Cha).

My personal favorite Lindy song is Janis Siegel's version of Bei Mir Bist Du Scheon. The accelerando and then fast paced ending to the song is some of the best Lindy i've ever danced.
