Here is one of my favorite clips of swing dancing on Youtube. George Lloyd is one of the original dancers at the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem, New York. You can see him dancing here with Margaret Batiuchuk. I love the sliding feet!

What amazes me the most is the rhythm in his footwork. You can distinctively hear the beats that he is making.
I’ve been told in the past that most/all top dancers sing in their heads, and it’s something everyone should try.
I find that it helps define the rhythms you make with your feet. So scat on.
