I’m gonna miss Mumu

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

My dance partner Mélanie Huot-Lavoie is traveling to Seattle this summer. Stolen by Mike Faltesek and the cool Lindy Hoppers of the Emerald City.  Although I heard she’ll be back soon from her travels, I miss her!

We had some great times together, from performing at QSRV, CSC, ULHS and ALHC, to coming up with the initial draft of Stomp Stomp for our team the Northern Lights at ILHC. Mumu je t’aime!

This past May, Max Pitruzzella and I danced a showcase routine at CSC 2008. It was fun and interesting to work with him. Here’s the video.

The launch of Akoha at Techcrunch50

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

I watched Akoha’s launch at Techcrunch50 today, and Austin did a great job presenting their product. I was interested in seeing Scoble’s reaction, and his comments/questions were mostly positive. Which is great!

I think Akoha really hits the spot with social entrepreneurship and doing good, and I wish them luck! (They also get extra kudos for using “Leaving Microsoft to change the world” by John Wood in their presentation) It’s one of my favorite books of all time, and it’s one book I’ve given as a gift many times over.

Hard at work at Standout Jobs, Lindybloggers and Cat’s Corner

Monday, September 8th, 2008

Carl and I have been super busy at Lindybloggers and also traveling for dance events all around (the Albany Chill this weekend was sweet!), but I also wanted to note that I’ve been hard at work at Standout Jobs and Cat’s Corner as well. Version 2 at SOJ is shipping in early October, and we’re officially moved into our brand spanking new studio at Cat’s. And of course, I cannot miss mentioning the tenth anniversary.
