In anticipation of the Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown this weekend, here’s one of the highlights from last year that I immortalized on a handpainted t-shirt.

The Harlem Hotshots on Sweden’s version of America’s Got Talent. The dancers are Sakarias Larsson and Frida Segerdahl, Daniel Heedman and Åsa Palm, Mattias Lundmark and Hanna Zetterman.

During the Century Masters event in Seattle this summer, a group of Lindy Hoppers paid tribute to the Harlem Congaroos by recreating two 1940s clips in front of many jazz dance greats. The dancers are Mike Faltesek and Casey Schneider, Stefan Durham and Bethany Powell.

Camp Jitterbug is a weekend long event in Seattle Washington featuring amazing teachers, workshops and competitions. This year’s DVD trailer just came out.

The best slow motion I’ve ever seen on a Lindy Hop video (at around 1:20 into the clip). The dancers are Nick Williams and Carla Heiney from California during the Reno Dance Sensation 2007.

Nick was the choreographer of the So You Think You Can Dance Lindy Hop routine this season for Lacey and Neil. I love his musicality. And Carla is one of my favorite dancers at Lindy Hop events. She’s so much fun to dance with! No matter what level you’re at, she’ll smile and make you feel good.
